Are you still on track with your vision for the Year?

Most people are gung ho at the beginning of the year but...

are you gung ho now? A lot of people get excited at the beginning of a new year and set their "New Year's Resolution." Most don't follow through. It sounds good and it is exciting to say "I am going to change this year!" But how do you keep that enthusiasm all year long? After all it really does take work.

Well I have some advice for you...

You need to stoke your fire!

A few weeks ago I woke up in the middle of the night smelling smoke in my home. I got up and went out in to the living room where we have a wood burning stove. We like to burn wood on cold winter nights. Well anyway the stove was smoking so much that it was seeping out the joints in the stove. There was a lot of smoke but no fire. So I opened our wood stove and stoked the fire which started the fire burning again.

When you stoke the fire you move the wood around and expose the hot coals to oxygen. As you already know, oxygen feeds a fire and helps it to burn.

Well that is what you have to do. Stoke the fire of your dreams and goals and add the oxygen to get your fire burning.

How do you do that?

I have found the best way is to pull out your dreams and goals and take a look at them. Think about what you want you set out to achieve and think back to how excited you where to get started. The more you can keep your goals, dreams and plans in front of you the easier it is to stay on track.

Another great way to stay on track is to listen to motivational cds and inspiring stories of how others have succeeded. I always find that listening to someone talk about success or tell how they overcame the obstacles in their way ecourages me to stay focused on achieving my goals.

So go pull out your goals and dreams and find some inspiring audio to listen to and stoke your fire!
