From the last newsletter, I hope you took the time to write down 3 things that you want to achieve in the next year. If you didn't write them down then stop right now and do it.
Now I have a question for you?
Do you REALLY want to achieve these goals? Because if you don't, I guarantee that you won't succeed in achieving them. Do you realize you can achieve anything you truly desire, but you must truly desire it. So many people just wish for things but don't really believe they will achieve them. I am not talking about wishing or hoping here. I am talking about desire with true belief that you can and will accomplish the dream or goal. I believe that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. Desire leads to a Definite Chief Aim in life.
The power of desire led Thomas Edison to set a Definite Chief Aim of inventing the incandescent light bulb. Did you know how badly he wanted to achieve this goal? He wanted it so badly that he failed over 10,000 times. But he didn't see it as failure. Here is quote from Edison about his failures....
"I have not failed 10,000 times. I have successfully found 10,000 ways that will not work."
And since it takes no more effort to set big goals and dreams than small ones, why not dream big?
Here's a poem that you may have heard.
"I bargained with Life for a penny,
And Life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store.
"For Life is a just employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.
"I worked for a menial's hire,
Only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I had asked of Life,
Life would have willingly paid."
Do set your sights big and make sure you truly desire what it is you write down.

Until next time…
